Why Train With Us?
The Diocese of Leeds BKCAT Alliance offers the opportunity to train to teach alongside serving outstanding teachers in a scheme overseen by St Wilfrid's Secondary Catholic High School & Sixth Form College. St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Castleford leads the primary aspect of the Diocese of Leeds BKCAT Alliance. We have vacancies in Biology, Chemistry, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Physics, and Religious Education. We also offer Primary and Early Years Primary
Entry Requirements
Degree - You should be a graduate with a relevant degree, preferably with a 1st or 2:1 though we are willing to consider applicants who have a lower class degree but can demonstrate passion and aptitude for teaching and working well with children. Recent and relevant work experience is also important but not essential.
At GCSE level you will need GCSE grade C or above in both Maths and English. Additionally, for primary school teaching you should also have attained a GCSE grade C or above in Science.

Finance

Study Facilities
Trainee teachers will have hub days and access to the staff professional development sessions. SKAP days are delivered at Leeds Trinity University.
