The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust (BKCAT)
A wider Catholic family supporting our school
St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School is part of The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust (BKCAT), a Catholic Multi Academy Trust made up of 12 primary schools and 3 high schools.
Being part of BKCAT means our school belongs to a wider Catholic family of schools, working together to provide the very best education and care for children and young people aged 3 to 19.

What does being part of a Trust mean?
BKCAT brings together educational and operational expertise that supports schools behind the scenes, allowing staff in school to focus on what matters most – teaching, learning and pupil wellbeing.
This includes support with:
- School improvement and curriculum development
- Safeguarding and wellbeing
- Staff training and professional development
- Finance, estates and operational management
By working together, schools share expertise, best practice and ideas, strengthening provision across the Trust.
Why this is a positive for our pupils and families
For pupils and parents at St John the Baptist, being part of BKCAT means belonging to a larger, supportive community rooted in the values of Love, Friendship and Joy.
Children benefit from:
- A strong sense of belonging to a wider family of schools
- Opportunities to take part in Trust-wide events and activities
- Building friendships with pupils from other local BKCAT schools
As many of our Trust schools are local, pupils often continue to learn and socialise with familiar peers well beyond their primary school years.
A shared Catholic vision
BKCAT serves families of all faiths and none. Our Catholic ethos shapes a shared commitment to respect, dignity and excellence, ensuring that every child is valued and supported to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.
