Our Nursery & How to Apply
A Nurturing Start for Children Aged 3+ in Normanton, Wakefield
Welcome to our Nursery at St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, where we provide an exceptional early years experience for children aged 3 and above. Located in the heart of Normanton, Wakefield, our nursery offers a safe, stimulating environment where learning and play go hand in hand.
At St John the Baptist Nursery, we provide a warm, nurturing, enquiry-led environment where every child’s individuality is valued. We support children’s learning and development holistically, helping them grow in confidence and curiosity.
As part of a Nursery provision within the school, Nursery and Reception children benefit from shared outdoor learning spaces designed to support a smooth transition. In addition, opportunities such as ‘Stay and Play’ sessions allow children to build familiarity with staff, peers, and their next learning environment.
Our highly qualified and experienced team is passionate about helping every child develop independence, confidence, creativity, and a love of learning. We understand that the early years are a crucial foundation for future success, so our ambitious, well-planned curriculum ensures your child gets the best possible start.
